This laptop does not have a keypad but numbers across the top that have a double function. I have a remote Macally keypad that has worked up to this morning entering numbers. All of a sudden with the current bootup the I cannot type numbers, it is connected and the scroll buttons work but I cannot type numbers. Have no idea how to solve this, the issue is not with the keypads as they work with other laptops

If the keypad worked before but not now, it is likely that an update happened that broke the pairing between the device and your laptop.
I suggest asking MACALLY support since they claimed that "it's designed to work flawlessly with Mac, PC, iPad, Android, and Chrome devices, offering broad compatibility". Wow, you just have to love marketing.

Enrico, thanks for your reply. I tried the keypad on two other windows based laptops and each time it worked fine. I then went back to my laptop and reconnected, still the same issue, can scroll but no numbers. Then I tried a combination of using the Enter Key and several of the arrow keys the keypad and voila, the numbers came back. Not sure what the issue was but got it solved. I could never find any support with HP or Macally for this kind of issue.
