I have an HP DV7 laptop. It's working fine but the warranty and 3 year care pack have expired.
In the good old days when I worked as an HP Customer Engineer there was generally a 10 year service life for hardware and my HP customers had contract options to extend the support life, but don't know what the policy is today.
Is it possible to buy a care pack beyond 3 years?, or am I stuck with time and materials?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.
They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.
Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Thank you.
As advised above, my HP laptop is working fine but I'm wondering what the arrangements are for support after the warranty and initial 3 year care pack have expired. I didn't receive any contact when the care pack ended so I'm querying whether further care packs can be purchased to extend formal support.

This was never followed up by HP, so I am at a loss to know what the situation is when an HP laptop reaches the end of warranty and care pack. Presumably if the laptop becomes faulty they would want me to pay for repairs on a time and materials basis. Assuming that is the case I would much prefer they actually told me rather than ignoring questions I have raised.
