Hi,
Wasn't sure where to post this, my X360 emits a rather loud clicking or popping sound anytime it is moved by or pressure is applied to the right front corner. It does not appear to be loose, and I cannot really see any obvious flex, but you can feel it popping. It is very annoying because it is so frequent and seems like very poor quality on an otherwise premium machine.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I would rather not mail it in if I can avoid it. I can upload a video if anyone thinks that would help.
Thanks!

I had this on mine on the front left corner, near the SD card slot. I checked several in store machines, and found it in 3 of the 4 Spectres.
It seems to come from the bottom cover "Catching" or rubbing on the case, as if is was slightly misaligned. In the end, I found it far less worrisome than the angled hinges I found on every Spectre I've seen.

The screws on the bottom are what holds the cover in place, and you may be able to readjust them (but it would most likely void your warranty). Tightening would most likely not help. They would have to be loosened, the cover moved, and then retightened.
This laptop has a truly premium design, but a sloppy build. We've gone through two. And I agree about the return process. Painful.

She is rocking the regular screen. Sad thing is the hinges and click wouldn't bother her in the least... Probably would have never noticed. I surely don't want to void my warranty. I guess its crooked clicky for life....
Unless the hinges and click are considred repairable? I could send it in for repair I guess. Think I missed the 30 day return window.

Update. It is going in for repair. According the the chat, they will align the hinges (believe it when I see it) and fix the creaking clicking sound (believe it when I hear it, but think this they may actually tackle).
Will rock the wife's perfect model while I sweat it out.

I will say this: even though I returned both of mine, if I only had trouble with the hinge and creak I would have lived with it. Personal choice, though. Hope it works out for you. It is a beautiful device.

Well, after the chat ended I got the email and it says the repair is for a "loud drive"...
Dude apparently didn't understand me... I don't know. Now waiting for a call from them to try to fix it.
You are right, I would almost rather deal. This noise and creak is pretty bad and anytime you move it from right side... Drives me kind of crazy. I will probably give up though if this goes poorly.
