The motherboards listed in my post above will work. They are the same shape and size with the same mounting hole placement as the one you have now. However, certain processor compatibility is only for the ones I listed, too. You likely cannot use the A10 as it is just slightly too new. There is a small chance it would work and as cheap as these older AMD A series processors are, you could try your A10 on the board and if it does not work, the A8 listed is like $20. There is no other motherboard that is listed by HP as compatible with your A10. Laptop motherboards are one-off creations and updated ones are not created as the technology advances. They just issue whole new laptops with different motherboards.

These three motherboards use that socket for the processor:

For use only with computer models equipped with the AMD A60M chipset and a graphics subsystem with 1024-MB of discrete video memory 649950-001

For use only with computer models equipped with the AMD A60M chipset and a graphics subsystem with 512-MB of discrete video memory 649949-001

Supporting these processors:

AMD A8-3500M 2.40-GHz processor (1.5-GHz FSB, 4.0-MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W) 653350-001

AMD A6-3400M 2.30-GHz processor (1.4-GHz FSB, 4.0-MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W) 653349-001

AMD A4-3300M 2.50-GHz processor (1.9-GHz FSB, 4.0-MB L2 cache, dual core, 35 W)

The eBay listing does not say G7 but the same motherboard was used in G4 and G6 models.

That series of laptops had a huge amount of different motherboards as you can see in your Service Guide here- http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02834058.pdf starting on page 22.

So can I use one of the other boards listed if it has an FS1 socket?

P.S. I have an AMD A10-4600M CPU that I would like to use in my Pavilion g7-1167dx. Does anyone know what motherboard is compatible to swap with?
