Hi, I need to change optical drive (DVD/RW) from my notebook because it damages disks.
I have got a new optical drive, it works fine (read DVDs correctly) but the new optical drive has not way to insert the front panel I have removed from old/original optical drive. The new optical drive has its own front panel and it is too hidden into the notebook, so I have difficult to open the cart and close it correctly. How can I get a good optical drive, externally compatible with my notebook?
In the photo you can see on top the original front panel I can't put onto the new optical drive, just installed below.

If you want to have one that actually fits, that would likely be your best option.

I see you reside in Italy.
You can purchase one from eBay. See the link at the line below this one for a search I did for the HP part that is compatible with your notebook.
