Hi, I need to know if I can change my laptop processor HP Pavilion dv6-6c40us Notebook PC :Product Specifications:

Microprocessor: 2.5GHz/1.6GHz VISION A8 Technology from AMD with AMD Quad-Core A8-3520M Accelerated Processor

Microprocessor Cache: 4MB L2 Cache

Memory; 6GB DDR3 SDRAM (2 DIMM)

Memory Max: Maximum supported = 16GB

Video Graphics : AMD Radeon HD 6620G Discrete-Class Graphics

Video Memory: Up to 3061MB total graphics memory

 

64 bits, SO NOW, Windows Home 10 64 bits

 

, either with one of greater speed or replace it with a INTEL,  Thanks

Hi,

 

Firstly Intel CPU's won't work with the motherboard on your computer now. Full stop.

 

Secondly, from page 87 of the first manual on the following link:

 

     http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5191856/model/5...

 

You won't gain much speed by upgrading AMD CPU's and you may not have an option to upgrade at all.
