Microsoft Windows Vista

I recently found a shell of an HP Pavilion G Series computer for sale. I was wondering if anyone knows if you can tell the hard drive of a HP G60 series computer and use it in the HP Pavilion G Series. My screen is dead on my HP G60 and thought that maybe I can remove the hard drive and use it there. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You can use the hard drive from the G60 in the g6, but don't expect it to boot up.

You will probably have to reinstall Windows on the drive if the hardware is too different.

Thank you. The G6 is literally just a shell. There is no internal hard drive in it at all. I am looking at it for the screen, keyboard, etc. I have the old G60, purchased it in 2008, and it has a broken screen. I was just going to use it for some extra storage.

Thanks for your insight.
