HP Notebook - 15-r218na
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi - I'm looking to put a SSD into this laptop - I've done it before on a few other machines - is the drive simple to remove on this model?  Are the any capacity limitations?  Anything else I need to know?  I will probably stick some more memory in at the same time - any idea what might be in there?  (this is a parents laptop and I wont have access to it for a couple of weeks)

Wish I could say this was easy on your model, but this series is one of the harder ones to service. Memory access requires removal of the motherboard. See p. 76. Hard drive (p. 59) is somewhat less of a challenge.

Memory is DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM. 2 slots max in each slot of an eight gig module so 16 total. No capacity limit for SSD or HDD. 2 TB would work fine or anything smaller. Good luck and post back if you need any more help.
