Notebook 15-ba009ne
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

i bought brand new Dubai imported HP Notebook 15-ba009ne with core i5 7200u processor, amd radeon 520 graphics and intel HD graphics 620, windows 10 home 64bit, 1TB HDD and 6 Gb memory.

within use of 1 month, its charger was normally running but after month, it started getting really hot after 10 minutes of charge and I got afraid of it that it can explode and stopped charging MY laptop.

I want to confirm that is it normal for the charger to get too hot to touch after use of 1 month?

Waiting for you answer, Thanks!

Hi @Hamza_laptop15,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the AC adapter is getting hot.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • Where is computer being used?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

As you have mentioned that the computer is imported from Dubai, there may be a possibility in the voltages used in Dubai and place where you are using the computer now.

However, I recommend you update the bios and chipset driver from the below link and check if it resolves the issue.

Hi Hamza_laptop15,

Try all the steps mentioned by The_Fossett. However keep in mind that laptop chargers tend to heat up quite well, especially if the size of laptop is bigger. (In your case is a 15 inch which can get pretty hot)
