Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi! I have a problem with my HP Elitebook 840. Everytime I plug in a charger it only blinks orange and white light, not charging. But everything else works. I thought that the battery needs replacement but I can open the laptop hassle free with 1%

 

It's just that, whenever I plug a charger it only blinks white and orange. Right now my battery is drained and I can not charge it anymore.

 

Is it the charger that I need to replace or I need repair with the charging pin of my laptop? Thank you!

Which HP Elitebook 840 do you have? 

There should be a G with a number as part of the product name.

 

You could also go type  MSINFO into the search bar and click on the system information app.

The SKU in the ninth position down will be the product number.

 

Please post that in your next response.

 

The most likely issue is that the battery has reached the end of its service life and needs to be replaced.
