Pavilion X360 14-BA018CA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For a "HP Pavilion X360 14-BA018CA" computer, would I be able to charge it with a USB-type C power bank that is rated 20V 1.5A?

I know this particular model is rated 19.5V / 2.31A.

Also, can someone from HP recommend a USB-C power bank for this computer?

Thanks.

The following link shows its specs

      https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05530911

It only has

  • 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s);
  • 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only);
  • 1 HDMI;
  • 1 headphone/microphone combo

With no PD (Power Delivery) are you sure you can charge it using USB-C port ? Please don't burn it.

On another side, it needs 45W, the 20V 1.5A only supplies 30W. Since no PD port,  I can't find suitable charger for it.

Regards.

Thanks @Banhien,

I had mistakenly assumed that all USB-C had power delivery, but that is definitely not the case.

(https://www.snapnator.com/blog/what-s-the-relationship-between-usb-power-delivery-and-usb-type-c)

In that case, I will forget about using USB-C to charge this model of laptop.

The other part of my question was really more about the power requirements;

if one were to deliver 2.31A with only a 30W power supply, then the voltage would only be 13V, best-case, much less than the laptop's rated 19.5V;

I was curious as to the lowest possible voltage required to still charge the laptop.
