Product: HP Notebook - 15q-ds0009tu
Operating System: Ubuntu LTS

I have a HP notebook 15q-ds009tu, it has 8GB RAM and 1 TB HDD storage installed. I wanted to know if the device is capable of RAM upgrade as well as an upgrade from HDD to SSD. If possible please show me the compatible ones. Thanks in advance.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the memory upgrade information:

 

HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

You can either replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD, or your notebook has M.2 slot that supports M.2 2280 NVMe SSD's which are even faster than SATA SSD's.

 

This should be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook to install in the empty slot:
