Hello HP Community,

I hope this message finds you well.

I recently purchased an HP ProBook 440 G11 – Ultra 7-155U – 14″ – 8GB RAM – 512GB SSD (Model: AA0P8ES) , and I’m considering upgrading its hardware for better performance.

My questions :

  1. Is it possible to upgrade this laptop to support 64GB of RAM ? If yes, could you please advise on the exact specifications or compatible RAM modules  that I should use?
  2. Can I replace the current 512GB SSD with a 4TB SSD ? If so, what type of SSD is compatible ?

For reference, here is the product link: HP ProBook 440 G11 .

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,

Ali

Hi:

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates the maximum memory is 2 x 16 GB of DDR5-5600 MHz memory.

Now I don't know if that is a hard and fast limitation or just that HP did not offer 64 GB of memry in the Probook 440 G11.

The higher end Elitebook 640 G11 does support 64 GB of memory and comes with some of the same processors offered in the 440 G11.

Theoretically, there is no limit to how large a capacity NVMe SSD you can install as long as the drive is single sided.

If you want to install a 4 TB NVMe SSD, that shouldn't be a problem.

The Crucial memory/SSD report for your notebook indicates it can support 64 GB of memory and a 4 TB SSD:

Hi!

The new AI machines with the Meteor Lake CPUs fully support RAM up to 96GBs, no matter what HP official documentation says. You can find some of these laptops (a few but they exist) sold already configured this way on Amazon as seen here and here. In case you want to max out your RAM, this is the Crucial kit you need.... It has the correct  specs, the same as the modules on Crucial's page posted above by Paul_Tikkanen EXPERT Level 22.

You can also read this Reddit thread where this has been documented....

Take care!
