Hi everyone,
I just wanted to set up the docking station at home so that all the different laptops from work and home can all just plug in and have the setup ready. Now that I have tried to plug it into the Victus I had to realize that this seems to not work. Is it true that the Victus, as it does not charge through USB-C, is not compatible with such a docking station?
Thanks everyone in advance!

Yes you can use USB-C chargers or USB-C docks to charge your machine BUT you need 230W. I don't think the ThinkPad docking station has such wattage rating
Note: The ThinkPad docking station may charge your machine overnight or when your machine is off.
Regards.

Hey! Thank you for your helpful answer!
It is working as a docking station somewhat, but - as you already pointed out - is not charging. That I expected and I don't have a problem with it. What would be nice, though, is for it to also work with the video signals. But currently neither of the two displays are recognized. Is this to be expected or should the USB-C slot be able to handle these signals if it already recognizes the keyboard, mouse etc.?

No, that is NOT true, monitors require video signals; and input devices requirements are not the same as output devices.
Hope this makes sense

Which Thinkpad dock do you have? I have one I use with an HP laptop.
It is Thunderbolt and the laptop I use it with has Thunderbolt ports. It charges the laptop but the laptop does not require more than 100W

Thank you to everyone who has already provided helpful information. I have new information for you: it worked for a couple of hours without changing anything. The docking station currently has two monitors connected to it and both were available seperately as sole displays. So, it certainly is possible technically - as it just worked a short time ago!
But... Now the signal is gone again and I have no idea why. Any input/ideas?
Thank you!
