@KeygenUA Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are looking for Compatible alternative for Ralink RT3290 for HP Pavilion 15-n090er

If your notebook currently has two antennas connected to the Ralink wifi adapter, you can install this model wifi adapter.

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0                HP Part #710661-001

You could purchase the part from HP, use the HP Parts surfer to identify the part: http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx

And order it via the HP Parts store: https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/CountryChoice.aspx?mscssid=&ccode=ZZ&lcode=ZZ

Or alternatively, Contact HP for setting up an order/service via phone support

You cannot upgrade to a dual-band wifi adapter unless there are two antennas available to connect to it.

And yes, I agree that the RT3290 should have a maximum connection speed of 150 MBPS.

If it was a 1 x 1 card, then the connection speed would be limited to 72 MBPS.

But I would not know how you can get the max out of it.
