Hi,
I am using a HP laptop [model: hp pavilion 15 bc504tx]. It looks like the battery is dead.
I am planning to purchase a new battery. I asked HP customer care they told the price of original battery is 10,000/-
Upon asking the local Hp store, they told me that an OEM battery comes, which will be compatible with my laptop.
However, there are many battery brand in the market like lapcare, techie, OEM etc.
I am worried that using an OEM battery might damage my laptop.
Therefore, I want to ask how HP OEM battery performs ? Is it worth buying or should I go for the original one? Which is a better battery brand for HP pavilion 15?
Battery model: TE04XL

OEM stands for original equipment manufacture and that means a part that was installed when the notebook was manufactured.
As long as the battery you purchase matches the HP part number exactly it should work without issues.
The first part is the HP part number.
| 905277-855 | Assembly-battery 4C 63Wh 4.112A LI TE |
Only purchase a battery that is delivered with a one year warranty.

Thanks a lot for the information.
I will try to find an OEM battery with the same part number.
However, I do have a question.
My current battery has the following specification: 15.4 V, 63.3 Wh (Nom: 4112 mAh).
What if the new OEM battery does not come with the same part number 905277-855, but the above reading (voltage, current, power) matches ? Would it still be compatible with my laptop ?
