HP ENVY x360 - 15-cn1073wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone. The Envy x360 is excellent for ordinary everyday tasks and has a fairly powerful Intel core i7 8th gen cpu.

Problem is even though there is a place on the motherboard for a dedicated graphics chip and VRAM, it is not utilized. I was thinking "surely if there is space for it, there is an identical motherboard that utilizes it"

Does anyone know where I can find a motherboard with all the graphics hardware installed on it? if not could I solder it on myself using a solder ball grid, solder balls, flux, and a heat gun?

Its specs

It ONLY has  Integrated Intel® UHD Graphics 620 (iGPU). Do you mean its System board has MXM slot for a video card ?

The series has option with 4-GB MX250.  If you wish, please use a list on page 54 of the following manual

         http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06606758.pdf

Please note: You have to pay for a new System board which contains

  (a) New motherboard,

  (b) New CPU/Processor,

  (c) New dedicated GP (in this case only 4-GB MX250),

  (d) New license of  Windows 10 Home 64 (You can't reuse old key).

Because all 4 components above are on one piece of hardware called System Board.  You may have to buy new charger to

Regards.

@Banhien

Yes, they are "permanently" attached to the board but its not impossible to take them off and put new stuff on either.

Preferably I like to just replace the whole thing as that saves a heap of work, but if worst comes to worst I have a graphics card with all the donor parts.
