I have this laptop which is an HP 14-bs046na with an Intel pentium N3710.
On the HP specification site the installed memory is 4 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM and yet the true actual memory
in my laptop is 4GB DDR3-1600, when i try to get an memory upgrade i can only find DDR3-1600 modules 4/8gb only for this laptop model.
My Question is: Has HP specification for this model got the wrong info saying its DDR4 or am i missing something, im trying to upgrade everything i can including CPU(no idea if it is possible)/MEM/M.2 SSD, as this is a netbook it is not fast but im sure it can be improved.
Any info/help would be gratefully received.

Hi:
The DDR4 memory spec on the below link is incorrect.
https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c05541285
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook's model series.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05485573
Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.
One non-customer-accessible/upgradable memory module slot (Pentium/Celeron processors):
Supports up to 8 GB of DDR4-2400 single channel support (Intel Pentium Silver N5000, Celeron
N4000 processors) in the following conƭgurations
● 8192-MB total system memory (8192×1)
● 4096-MB total system memory (4096×1)
Supports up to 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 single channel support (Intel Pentium 3710, Celeron N3350/
N3060 processors) in the following conƭgurations
● 8192-MB total system memory (8192×1)
● 4096-MB total system memory (4096×1)
● 2048-MB total system memory (2048×1) (Intel Pentium 3710, Celeron N3350/N3060
processors only)
M.2 SSD's are not supported in your specific model. See chapter 1...
Support for m.2 SATA SSD (not supported on Pentium/Celeron)
Recommended upgrades...
Replace the 4 GB DDR3L memory chip with an 8 GB DDR3L memory chip, and replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.
