Hi,
I want to know if is is possible to connect my laptop to a monitor and output 144hz at 1080p resolution. I haven't made the monitor purchase decision yet hence I am asking this question. A potential monitor is ASUS VG249QR1R it has a HDMI 1.4 port or BenQ EX2510 which has HDMI 2.0. My laptop is HP Pavilion Gaming dk1001tx core i5 10th gen, NVIDIA 1650, I do not know if my laptop has HDMI 2.0 port but considering it is a fairly new model it should have one.
Please help me out here

Your notebook does have a HDMI 2.0 port, but its discrete graphics solution is not capable of a 144hz output to an external display.
A GTX 1650 doesn't output 144hz, but a gtx1660ti does manage 1080p @441hz
Each year there are lists of 144 Hz capable gaming notebooks on the internet.
Here is a website that shows what they have found so far in 2022

Hi again,
I just wanted to inform anybody and to add to your knowledge Erico.
I am currently typing this on my monitor set to 1080p @144hz. It is possible for GTX 1650 to output this through an HDMI. So anyone looking to upgrade their system may without any hesitation go for it.
