Hi:

Since your notebook has an AMD Ryzen processor, a NVMe SSD should work.

There is also this model that costs around 400 Pesos more but has better read/write speed specifications:

Crucial P3 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD Interno, hasta 3500MB/s - CT1000P3SSD8 : Amazon.com.mx: Electr...

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the M.2 SSD installation procedure.

The manual indicates that only SATA SSD's are supported but below the manual link I have posted a video where someone installed a NVMe SSD and you can see that it worked.

Good afternoon, a year ago I bought an HP 245 G7 laptop for my son to use for minor work (school), but since it only has a 1TB HDD it is a little slow, I will add a 1TB SSD, from what I have seen For people who upgrade this laptop model, the correct thing to do is to install an SS PCI 3.0, to be more successful buy an Acer FA100 NVMe SSD, 1TB, PCI Explress 3.0, M.2.

My question is if the SSD I bought on the HP 245 G7 laptop would work well. It is worth mentioning that it has a Ryzen 3500u processor.

Thanks for your contribution to the question, I will wait for the SSD to arrive to verify that it reads PCIe 3.0, so I can indicate how the issue has been resolved.

You're very welcome.

good evening, the m.2 ssd disk has arrived and it is pci express 3.0, but when I remove the hard drive, it does not detect the m.2 as a boot disk, what can I do in this case? I want the m.2 ssd .2 remains as a boot disk

HP Recommended

When you remove or disconnect the drive, the Windows boot manager should automatically switch to the M.2 NVMe SSD.

You did install Windows on the SSD, correct?

If so, unfortunately, I don't know why that would be.
