Pavilion 14-ce0505sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop started to make noises similar to hard drive or cooling fan fault. Shut it down and tried again the next day - no noise. A couple of days later noise started again so, yip shut it down. Tried a dry air duster on the vents. Seem to work but the next day I got a MS Dos message that the system has detected a cooling fan is not operating properly. System fan (90B). Bought at PC World app 13 months ago. Took out an extended warranty direct with HP a few weeks ago so PC World told me to contact HP.... Any ideas?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting system fan error on startup.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

Alas this didn’t work and same error message appeared at start up.

Having bought an extended warranty direct from HP, PCWorld won’t look at it.

how do I arrange a collection for HP to inspect the machine?
