Hello, I am looking for the part number for the cooling system assembly (installed notably on the HP Pavilion dv7-2005eg, dv7-2270us, dv7-2170ef, dv7-2170sf, and dv7-2185dx models) that was equipped with Intel Core 2 Quad processors and capable of dissipating 45 watts.

Hi @kzapar
Thank you for responding.
Thank you for sharing the part number. However, since this unit is obsolete, HP no longer manufactures or stocks the parts, and the part is currently unavailable through the HP Store. I would recommend contacting your nearest authorized HP service center, as they may be able to assist you with sourcing the part or provide an alternative solution.

Hi @kzapar
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query.
I understand that you are looking for the part number for the cooling system assembly used with the HP Pavilion dv7 series models, particularly the configurations equipped with Intel Core 2 Quad processors with a 45 W TDP.
To ensure that I provide the correct and compatible HP spare part, I would request you to please share the complete product number of the laptop. The cooling assembly can vary depending on the processor and system configuration.
Once the product details are provided, we can verify the applicable HP spare part number and compatibility with your specific configuration.
Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi @Pallipurath, I managed to find the part number I'm looking for, HP (Spare Part Number): 516876-001. This specific model has an enlarged copper base and an additional heat pipe. It's no longer manufactured, but perhaps there are some left in stock? I'd be lucky to find a used one.
If you can help me get one, I'd be very grateful. The serial number of my machine isn't very useful; I replaced the original Core 2 with a Core 2 Quad Extreme, same socket but two chips to cool instead of one. Thanks for your help and have an amazing day !
