So I dropped my laptop today in a soft case and it suffered some pretty substantial damage to the back plastic cooling vent and metal cooling fins inside. This is the second drop. I also have a small ding in what seems to be the metal frame in the front right corner. Pics to follow for both. The rig seems to be operating at full functionality luckily however it’s gone from looking impressive to pretty unprofessional. It’s still under warranty but I’m not sure this kind of damage is covered? Could I pay to have it repaired by HP? Could I buy replacement parts for cheap and DIY?
tldr; I dropped my laptop, it still works, but what are my options to having the cosmetics fixed?
