I am planning to upgrade the ram on my HP Pavilion-15-cs3073cl. I was wondering if I could buy a single stick of Crucial RAM 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Laptop Memory CT16G4SFRA32A and have the original 8gb stick in the other slot. (I currently have 16gb of ram) Would I need to change any settings in bios?
Thanks!

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06447667
It has 16 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB) (both slots are occupied) of RAM now. You may be able to install 16GB of 3200MHz RAM, if accepted it will run at 2666MHz.
I would not do that, now your machine has 8GB + 16GB with 2 different speeds, no benefit from dual channels.
Hope this makes sense.
Regards.
