HP Pavilion 15-AU027d
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had this laptop for a couple years now.  It has formed a crack next to the power button near the left hinge.  Now when I close the screen the area around the crack lifts up exposing the wires underneath.  This of course means I have to be very careful when closing the screen, unless I want to further damage the frame/hardware. I think the crack formed because the screw on the bottom fell out.  Replacing the screw now is too late because the crack goes all the way through the plastic.
This Laptop is no longer under warranty.  Does anyone know of a manufacturers recall because of the missing screws or are there any thoughts on how to fix this problem.  I've seen other HP Pavilion owners have had the same problems.
