HP 17 by 1084cl laptop

i am so frustrated--the exact problem happened over a year ago while still under warranty but now it is out of warranty by only 4 months!!  HP fixed it last time.  Will they fix it now since it is an obvious design flaw?  See photos.  I don't think the electrical tape will hold much longer.  I wonder if the flaw has to do with the dvd player?  Any suggestions?  Shouldnt HP fix this since it is a design flaw?
