HP ENVY 16 inch Laptop PC 16-h1000 (754F7AV)

I want to upgrade my memory for my Envy 16-h1023dx laptop. System specs for the Envy 16-h1000 series say it can support 32gb. But the DOS cmd "WMIC memphysical get Maxcapacity" says 16gb max; even when this cmd is run as an administrator.

i'm not sure i understand why there's a discrepancy.  this system has:

i9-13900H processor

RTX 4060 graphics processor

HP 8BE5 motherboard

currently has 2x8gb DDR5 5600 ram

it's a good system, so i'm thinking there's no way the RAM limit is 16gb.

So my question is, can i upgrade to 32gb?

Thank you for your help. Though, do you understand why the response to the DOS cmd "WMIC memphysical get Maxcapacity" is only 16gb? Could that potentially be some sort of BIOS setting that currently only allows 16gb?

HP Recommended

It may be just a bug.

A laptop with the specifications yours has supports 32 GB.

It even states that on the specification web document at the hyperlink below.

Update:

If your laptop does not have the most recent BIOS installed, I have provided a hyperlink below to the support document where it can be downloaded.
