Hi @RAORAORAO,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

For issues related to updating drivers on an HP PC, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Steps to Update Drivers on an HP PC

  1. Use HP Support Assistant:
    • Open HP Support Assistant on your computer. It is a built-in application available on HP PCs.
    • Navigate to the "Updates" section and check for available driver updates.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install updates.

  2. Visit HP Support Website:
    • Go to the support.hp.com/us-en and enter your PC model or serial number to find the specific drivers for your device.
    • Download the latest drivers manually for your specific operating system.

  3. Use Windows Update:
    • Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" and check for updates. Windows Update often includes updated drivers for your hardware.

  4. Device Manager:
    • Open Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start menu and selecting "Device Manager."
    • Find the device whose driver you wish to update, right-click, and select "Update driver."
    • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" to let Windows find the latest driver.

  5. Reboot Your PC:
    • After updating drivers, it’s good practice to restart your PC to ensure the updates take effect properly.

Troubleshooting Common Driver Update Issues:

  • Driver Fails to Install:
    • Ensure you have the administrative rights to install updates.
    • Temporarily disable antivirus software, as it might prevent installation.
  • Incorrect Driver Installed:
    • In Device Manager, if the new driver causes problems, you can roll back to the previous version by choosing "Properties" for the device and selecting "Roll Back Driver" under the Driver tab.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
