DVD-RW Drive Swap to Blu-Ray ROM Drive

"I have an HP Pavilion - 17-ar050wm and would like to know if I can swap out my DVD-drive for a Genuine Hp Pavilion DV7-3000 Laptop Blu-ray Cd-ROM DVD+rw Drive CT21L 509421-001 without any modification.

I don't know, however you have a 920417-012   GNRC ODD DVD-Writer 9.0mm Tray Flyers fitted.

I suggest you check dimensions and cabling, but I do expect that you will be able to achieve a swap.

Maybe there is a manual and driver in the 14 where used list that may help.

509421-001 is a 9.5 mm drive and you need a 9 mm drive. The slight thickness difference is enough to prevent a swap.
