After watching a couple of videos, I believe I can repair the screen myself. Can you get me the information for the part and where to order it from?  If repairing it myself is not possible, can you tell me where to send it to get the repairs completed?

My situation is critical. I damaged my screen in moving to my new home in Florida. My many health problems went to worse and due to uncontrolled glucose and diabetes, I am losing my eyesight.I looked in the manuals, but I could not locate any part numbers. I will keep looking after I write this.

So I want to ask of you to help me get this repaired for my 2 children (boy 11, girl 10) as soon as possible, as I raise them alone and they are in need of it.  As a USMC veteran in need, I don't work, don't get disability due to their stupid rules, and currently desperate to keep the roof over our heads that we just moved into May 1st, 2021, after being homeless since last year and having unexpected vehicle repairs, buying food, living in a hotel, and expenses necessary to care for my kids in this new house we just moved into, I can not afford much, but want this for my kids as I may not be able to do much for them in the near future with the loss of my vision so quickly..  Thank you.

ContactHP results in my having to take the computer to my nearest UBreakIFix location, which is less than 10 miles from me. I will call them next week, to see when and what they need for requirements to replace the touchscreen.

I will keep you updated here.  Thank you.

Hi @Jimmy712,

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the replacement display.

You may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, use the HP Parts Surfer to find the part number and If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.

Alternatively, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options". Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from, here's how private messages work: Click here for details.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi,

Found the part number as this:  l17303-274

Found replacement screens on eBay, for about $300. Not sure if I will get it repaired now. I will probably just buy a new one through HP.com or Amazon.

As for buying a replacement screen, Amazon had none, Ebay has a few.

Thank you so much for your help HP Support!

I meant, I will probably buy a new computer instead of getting it repaired due to costs of the replacement screen.

No link within your post to accept as solution.  Is this because I accepted solution from Echo_Lake? Just to let you know.
