Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

In the last couple of days, the battery in my Omen 17t started swelling.  It was so swollen today that it started severely bending the keyboard and outer shell and putting the left side of the mousepad off-kilter...leading me to have to remove it myself this evening to avoid a possible Li-ion fire or explosion.

I am a long-time HP owner and have gotten many compliments on this laptop.  I have had a really great experience until this happened.  It seems this is a very common issue from the number of similar posts on the boards.  I expect a laptop battery to last longer than this, and it is not the quality I expect from HP.  Is HP recalling, or at least replacing these Omen batteries for affected customers?   Thanks in advance for advice on next steps.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
