Just recently I got a device descriptor error on 2 of my peripheral devices. HP wired external mouse and keyboard. I have tried all the existing solutions but none have worked. I am literally handicapped since I have to resort to using a touchpad which hinders my work flow immensely. I request immediate help if possible. Attached below is my device manager. Thanks in advance.

It woul help if you looked on the bottom of your notebook for the product name and product number.
Post them in your next reply.
At this point you have not identified your notebook in a manner that is useful.

From your initial post: " I have tried all the existing solutions but none have worked"
That is a rather broad statement.
List all of the "existing solutions" that you have tried.

I will list below the various websites and solutions I have looked at
- https://appuals.com/device-descriptor-request-failed/
- https://www.kapilarya.com/unknown-usb-device-device-descriptor-request-failed-windows-10
- https://www.techpout.com/fix-unknown-usb-device-descriptor-request-failed/
The accepted solution here https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Fix-for-Unknown-USB-Device-Dev... was hard to execute for me, so maybe we could start there with an explanation that also contains screenshots (hopefully that's not asking too much)
Thank you

Why would you need screenshots to perform what is described as the solutions?
Take a screenshot of the solution by use of the Windows Snipping tool and print it out.
You can open a Windows PowerShell windows by pressing and holding the Windows key and tapping the X key once to open a menu. In the menu choose Windows PowerShell(Admin). Remember how that is done and follow the steps in the post.
When you get to the RegEdit section of the solution, remember this: Regedit commands take place instantly and can corrupt the registry of the Operating System. Once the registry is corrupted, booting into an operating system just will not happen. Resolution would require re installation of the operating system.
You might consider making a Cloud Recovery bootable usb thumbdrive and just reinstalling the operating system if you think this deep dive into operating system repair is beyond your current OS and PC hardware knowledge.
If you don't feel comfortable with using RegEdit then take it to a shop to pay for a PC technician to do it.
