I’ve recently started experiencing two major issues with my HP Victus 15 laptop:
1.Crashing on Game Launch: When I try to launch games like GTA IV or PES 2018, the laptop immediately restarts on the first attempt. On retrying, the game may run normally.
2.Screen Flickering: There’s intermittent screen flickering, especially noticeable when hovering over video previews on YouTube or during regular use when hardware acceleration is enabled in Chrome.
I’ve tried reinstalling and rolling back GPU drivers (currently on an older NVIDIA driver), updated Windows, and turned off Chrome’s hardware acceleration, which slightly reduced flickering. However, the crashing and display issues continue.

Adjust Game Settings:
- Lower the graphical settings within the games (GTA IV and PES 2018) to reduce the strain on your laptop’s hardware.
- Ensure that the games are updated to their latest versions.
Check System Requirements:
- Verify if your laptop meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements for the games you are trying to play.
- Ensure that there are no other resource-intensive applications running in the background.
2. Screen Flickering
Update Display Drivers:
Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager.

Disable Hardware Acceleration:
- In Browsers:
- For Chrome:
