HP Notebook - 15-da0077tx

I want to install windows 11 on my pc. I am facing issue of TPM 2.0. Do my laptop have TPM in it? Or what is the best possible solution? Please guide me. Thanks in advance.

Hi:

According to chapter 1 page 4 of the service manual, the 15-da0xxx model series is supposed to have a firmware-based Trusted Platform Module (fTPM) 2.0 security device.

Also, since the notebook has an Intel 8th generation core processor, has a UEFI BIOS and supports secure boot, it should be fully capable of running W11.

HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

The problem with a firmware based TPM security device is that W11 does not always recognize that as an actual hardware based TPM 2.0 device.

The only suggestions I can offer are these:

1. Go into your notebook's F10 BIOS setup menu and in the security section, make sure that the TPM device is enabled.

2. If TPM is enabled and there is no TPM security device listed in the device manager under a Security devices category, you will have to use a workaround to bypass the W11 hardware check so you can upgrade to W11.

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2.

You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.

I am not able to see to see TPM nor in my bios neither in my Device manager. So, is there any way to enable that by any other method OR should I go with the bypass method?

If you don't see the TPM in the BIOS or device manager, then you will have to use the method I described in that other discussion to upgrade to W11, or leave your notebook on W10.
