HP Spectre 15-eb1 x360 Convertible Laptop PC IDS Base Model

Hi,

I am greatly disappointed seeing that hundreds of threads asking for enabling battery care feature in bios configuration in many new versions of HP Spectre x360 and other and ending with a user satisfactory answer.

I have never seen a promissing response explaining a good reason for removing that feature or the directions to adding the "Battery Care" function into bios.

Now I am getting the question, is HP really caring about the end users experience and their opinion?

Please vote for this thread if you feel the same.

Hi @MaazaMode,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Your frustration is understandable, especially when you're invested in a product line like the HP Spectre x360 and you're seeking features that contribute to the longevity and performance of the device. The "Battery Care" feature, or similar settings designed to manage and preserve battery health over time, is indeed a valuable addition for many users, particularly those who use their laptops plugged in for extended periods.

The presence of multiple threads and discussions around this issue does indicate that it's a concern shared by a significant number of users. It's possible that HP is aware of this feedback. Large companies like HP often have to balance a wide range of priorities and user requests when they update their products or design new ones. This balancing act can sometimes result in certain features being deprioritized or omitted altogether, perhaps due to technical challenges, cost considerations, or strategic decisions that might not always be transparent to the end users.

However, user feedback is a powerful tool that can influence companies to revisit their decisions or prioritize new features in future updates or product releases. It's important for users to continue to voice their opinions and requests through official forums, social media channels, and customer support lines. Companies do track these communications and often use them to inform product development and updates.

That said, while your question touches on a broader concern about whether HP cares about user experience, it's worth noting that user experience encompasses a wide range of factors, including product design, software functionality, customer service, and more. It's likely that HP, like many companies, does care about user experience but might have different priorities that guide their decision-making processes.

If the "Battery Care" feature is a critical concern for you and other users, continuing to advocate for it, as you're doing, is a key step. You might also explore whether there are any third-party software solutions that can offer similar functionality, though this isn't an ideal solution for everyone.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

The new notebooks are declared as sustainable products, but missing a battery care feature, which does allow the user to use the product sustainable? One of the most critical component including critical raw materials like lithium, cobalt, etc. and which is also considered a dangerous good for international transport is not supported by a software based tool in the hand of the user? This does not realy match to a sustainable company...
