Does my laptop have a SSD slot? I couldn't find any info on it online!

No, it does not have M.2 SSD slot. You can replace existing HDD using a 2.5" SATA SSD to get better respond time (ie better speed).

Hi,
As @banhien states, there is no M2 slot in the notebook.
What you should do is replace the 2,5" HDD with a 2,5" SSD of your desired brand and capacity. It will give a great boost to the everyday performance of the PC.
On page 39 of the service manual, you can see the steps to replace the drive
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03345657
You can then use cloning software which usually comes with the SSD to clone the old HDD to the new SSD or reinstall the OS. You can even use your product key to install Windows 10 if you choose this path.
You could also upgrade the RAM to at least 8GB of DDR3L 1600MHz RAM.
Hope it helps,
David
