HP ENVY x360 15 Convertible PC 15-eu1000 (4V9Q2AV)

Last week I purchased a brand-new HP Envy 360.  I need to connect 2 external monitors, full size keyboard, and mouse.  Consequently,  I purchased a new docking station on Amazon (MagBac Model # DS-P05S PLUS) that is reported to be compatible with the HP Envy.   It will not connect.  None of the accessories function and the laptop will not charge.   Searching here and more generically on the web, I see this there may be problems with the USB-C port on the HP Envy.  Do I need to return my laptop for repairs?  Is there a workaround?  What is my fix?

What is your HP ENVY x360 15 Convertible PC 15-eu1000 (4V9Q2AV)  machine ?  HP does not supply any its specs:
