Hi,
I bought a 2013 docking station (D9Y32AA) for my Elitbook G5, but I can't use the ports on it. The docking station lights up when I connect it to the laptop, and it also charges the laptop; however, the ports don't work.
I tried to update the firmware of this docking station but I couldn't find any downloadable version of it on (a direct WORKING download link would be much appreciated as the old ones that are floating on the web don't work anymore... at least for me...).
I can't install the "sp100099.exe" because I receive this error message: "VmmTool: Can not find Synaptics MST DP hub IC"
A two weeks old Windows 11 with all updates and basic programes installed, BIOS updated, and every updates installed from HP website which is related to this particular laptop type.
Can somebody provide me with a solution please?
Thank you!

D9Y32AA is NOT compatible with your HP 850 G5. You can use a newer dock which is HP USB-C G5 (5TW10AA). You can see what is a true dock for your machine.
Regards.

Thank you for your quick response!
May I ask how do you know they are not compatible? In this topic there was a list which indicated they are compatible ( https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Docking-stations-D9Y32AA-for-H... ), and the docking station's description indicated the same, and altough the ports don't work, it charges my laptop (which I assume wouldn't happen should they be incompatible).
Thank you for the offered USB-C hub, I have got two concerns about it. On the one hand, it is significantly more expensive (~20 pounds vs ~130 pounds), and on the other hand, my USB-C port on the laptop doesn't work, I tought it is only for charging - isn't it?
Is there any other solution for a hub or docking station?

Thank you Banhien for your support!
You wrote " you can see what is a true dock for your machine". Can you let me know where I can see those working docks? As the "5TW10AA" is pricey and I'd prefer a cheaper working alternative.
Thank you again!
