I was interested in CoolSense. Apparently my laptop should've come with it, but the HP Support Assistant update ruined it. I managed to find it and get it, and the little icon in the hidden tray appears and lets me toggle things. Trouble is, the help article says you should be able to find a program. No banana.

You need a motion sensor - no mention of that.

I even found a list and I don't recall my model being on there.

More confusion: an error message should have come up saying that it's not gona work. I'm having doubts, though.

So, the big question: does my laptop really have the capabilities to use it?

Thanks.

Hello @FahmidChowdhury,

I'm afraid that it seems CoolSense is not available on your laptop. CoolSense requires an accelerometer and thermal control hardware. If you saw an error message, this confirms that CoolSense is not supported.

Furthermore, there was no CoolSense software available on your laptop's Software and Driver's page.

Hope this helps,

Eddy

OK, that's fine, thanks.

But, the CoolSense icon is actually there on the taskbar. I didn't get a single error message from the installation.

What is this sorcery?!
