Hello everyone,
I checked in the docs, it says about dual configuration. But I am not sure how accurate are the docs, it looks like they massed up multiple models into one documentation.
Does anyone know if 14s-cf2023TU has second slot to allow 2.5" SATA SSD. I saw in the specs based on the laptop serial code it already has "256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD" for the OS.
Just not sure about the second slot. If there is a second slot, do I need to get the cable or bracket. Are both of this need to be HP specific?
I don't have the physical laptop hence I cannot check directly.
Thanks,
Ravin.

Hi, Ravin:
Your PC has support for a 2.5" drive but none of the parts are there to add one.
You would need to find and buy the parts required to add a 2.5" drive that are listed in chapter 3, page 20 of the service manual:
Hard drive cable L23187-001
Hard drive bracket L24490-001
Where you will be able to find those parts, I would have no idea.
IMHO, you would be much better off replacing the 256 GB M.2 NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity such as 1 TB or 2 TB.
Adding a 2.5" drive will introduce more heat into your notebook and lessen the time you can run the notebook before you need to charge the battery.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for the response and answer. I think you are right on this. I didn't consider the heat and battery that will be create for the additional parts.
I am not sure too where to get the parts; I see some parts available on the ecommerce platforms but thinking must be lower quality counterparts.
Thanks,
Ravin.
