That model does not have support for two M.2 NVMe SSDs.

Only the 15-fb3xxx models with the Ryzen AI processors have two SSD slots.

Here is the link to the general 15-fb3xxx model series specifications:

@Paul_Tikkanen

Paul, I've been meaning to ask you, I saw a previous post where you mentioned that these will be 2230 slots. Was this a typo and you meant 2280, or is it the same as the 15-fa2000 variants with the new CPUs?

Hi, Tzortzis:

No, they are indeed M.2 2230 slots.

Someplace I saw a motherboard from one of those PC's with the short M.2 SSD slot and I can't find it .

There was even a post where someone opened one up and was wondering what the little extra M.2 slot was for.

Thanks for clearing that up.

This falls in line with everything else I've seen concerning HP motherboards with the new CPUs (at least on the gaming laptops). Thing is, the only relevant discussion I could find is this one: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/Missing-spacer-for-second-M-2-SSD-slot/td-p/9439750. This is a similar system, but not a Victus 15.

Anyways, I discovered these two spec sheets:  SpecsSheet1     SpecsSheet2

Notice how TWO (2) m.2 slots are officially confirmed -even on the AI 350 CPU. I found footnote9 especially interesting.

You're very welcome.

See if you can find a picture of the motherboard offered in the 15-fb3000ni model you posted.

I don't seem to be able to.

It's difficult finding details on the fa2/fb3 Victus 15 products. Reviewers just suppose they're CPU refreshes of the previous gens. I think sth completely different is happening here. I'll try and find motherboard picks, but what really interests me is why HP seems to be fitting short 2230 second slots (apparently only 2 lanes connect to the SSD) on gaming systems with the new Intel/AMD AI processors.  I'm guessing this has more to do with the processors...and less with HP.
