My HDD is dead and I want to replace it with a new SSD. Actually it seems like I will buy a SATA 3 SSD cause I have found a cheap one (Sandisk 240GB SSD Plus) but I want to make sure that if I can buy a SATA 3 SSD. Does anyone have information about the motherboard of my laptop?

Hi:

Yes, the drive controller your PC has supports SATA III drives.

Even if it didn't a SATA III SSD would work just fine, albeit at the SATA II speed.

BTW...I have 4 of those very same SSD's...two in my HP notebook PC's and two in my HP desktop PC's.

They work great.
