Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

I need to replace the battery on my HP Envy 15. However, this notebook does not have a battery release latch. How do I access the battery so that I can replace it?

Hi,

 

No, it does not have latch(es), you need to remove screws at the back/bottom and this is a VERY tricky task. Please start from page 31 of the following manual:

Note: Again, this is a risky task which may cause damages for your computer.

Yikes!

 

Yes, I think I would prefer to have an HP authorized service provider replace the battery for me.

Where can I find one?

 

Also, is there a way to find out if the battery on my HP Envy 15 is part of the recall program?
