I have just bought a new HP Pavilion 17-ab002na which runs Windows 10.
I have been using Windows 7 for 5 years and I love it / understand it.
Is it possible to uninstall Windows 10 and install 7 instead ?
Thanks

You should be able to but remember not to delete the recovery partition which i did once.

Thanks for your reply, I havent upgraded from 7 to 10 though, my laptop is brand new - got it today and I have installed 10 as part of prompted steps by HP. I dont have any files on it yet to back up.
Can I uninstall 10 completely and then install 7 instead ?
Thanks

Hi, @PaulieV :
If you decide to install W7 64 bit, you should be able to use all of the W7 x64 drivers and software from the 15t-ab000 on your model, except the BIOS and firmware files.
Because your notebook has the skylake chipset, you will need to run this tool to put the USB3 drivers on your Windows installation flash drive. There is a readme file on the page for how to use the tool.
