Product: HP EliteBook 830 G7 Notebook PC (8PV75AV)

I own an HP Elitebook 830 G7 which runs on Windows 11 pro. Synaptics Fingerprint does not show on the device manager despite all the methods I've tried from various online sources for months. Reinstalling the driver from the HP website does not show if the driver is installed. The option for 'Unkown devices' does not show either. What should I do?

Make sure you have BIOS 1.15 or later.

 

Go into the BIOS and check the "Fingerprint reset on boot"

 

reboot and see if BIOMETRICS shows up in the device manager.

I have BIOS ver 1.18 and also I have filtered BIOS setup. I don't see any Biometrics or Fingerprint option in it.

Something is not right. This should be your BIOS.   Look in security???

Yes, I look in security but there isn't any option like this. So what could be the issue? Is there could be fingerprint sensor issue?

use windows hello if you have a IR camera.
