Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just purchased and HP Envy 17.3  and decided I will do all my upgrades before loading it up. The confusion is the maximum RAM allowed in this unit. A couple sites show 32GB maximum, while others say it is 16GB. Does anyone have a definitive answer on this?  It will be used as a backup pc and for photoshop editing. I have ordered a Samsung 500GB NVXe SSD in the M.2 slot for the OS and programs and a Seagate Barracuda 2TB to use as just storage, I figured I may as well do a RAM upgrade while I am in there.. I have the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from Home also. I'll keep the original Optane memory, RAM and hdd untouched so I can easily convert back if needed or???
