I'm needing to replace my original OEM battery for my ENVY x360 (15t-cn000 CTO) and can't find where to order from HP directly. Does anyone know the new part number for the battery and/or where to order it? My laptop is out of warranty, therefore I have not been able to get any information from HP support.

Here is your Service Manual http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06606758.pdf It calls for an HP part L09281-855. Use that to search HP PartSurfer, google it for resellers, Amazon or eBay are other options.
Try and get a HP part, the age of the laptop may leave you with no other option than a generic replacement battery, but they are less in price. Read reviews of the product if you want to go generic. There are some good ones, and some not so good ones.
The service manual shows how to replace the battery if you are up to the task. You also want to purchase an inexpensive cell phone repair kit to use to separate the bottom cover from the top. Using a small screwdriver or pocket knife risks marring the two.
If you need more help, just ask.

Thank you for the response. I had already found the manual and original battery part number, but I assumed since I couldn't actually find that battery on the HP Parts Store that it had been given a new part number. I deal with enterprise server/workstation/laptop/etc equipment at work daily, but this is my first experience with lower end residential grade equipment. I've never had this much trouble finding parts at work, so now I'm starting to regret not getting enterprise grade for my house. I'll look into aftermarket/generic batteries if no one else can point me to the OEM replacement. (This is my first time using this community forum, so I was hoping an HP support person might put in a response.) Thanks again!

I just googled the part number and see several resellers have the original HP battery at $90. Also many more selling aftermarket ones in the $30 range. Somewhere in the middle are resellers offering pretty good quality aftermarket batteries with good reviews and 1 year warranty.
HP stocks batteries and other parts for maybe 2 years, after that, their stock is gone. Suppliers that make them sell a lot to resellers afterwards, or maybe it's all one big production run, I don't know.
That's the difference in business grade equipment and consumer. Businesses are willing to pay for better parts and service, while consumers are pretty much on their own. There's a market for both.
