II have seen the tips for checking the battery and downloading BIOS. However the computer turns on and comes up with this message and then shuts down. So i cant get to do the battery testing. 

i have a HP ENVY 15-AE108TX 15" TOUCH

Any suggestions?

Try these steps:

Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the laptop and disconnect any external devices.
  2. Unplug the AC adapter from the laptop.
  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
  5. Reconnect the battery and plug in the AC adapter.
  6. Turn on the laptop.

Boot into BIOS

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately start pressing the F10 key repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup.
  3. Navigate to the Battery Information section to check the status of the battery.
  4. Perform any available battery tests within BIOS.

Disable Automatic Shutdown

  1. Turn on the laptop and immediately start pressing the Esc key repeatedly.
  2. Access the Startup Menu.
  3. Navigate to System Configuration or Power Management in BIOS.
  4. Adjust settings to disable or delay automatic shutdown.

Use External Power Source

  1. Connect the laptop to AC power using the power adapter.
  2. Ensure the connection is secure and check for indicators that AC power is working.
  3. Turn on the laptop and see if it maintains power.

Remove and Reseat the Battery

  1. Turn off the laptop and disconnect AC power.
  2. Remove the battery and inspect it for any damage.
  3. Reinsert the battery ensuring it is securely connected.
  4. Reconnect AC power and turn on the laptop.

Update BIOS via USB

  1. On a working computer, download the latest BIOS update for your HP ENVY from the HP Support website.
  2. Follow the instructions provided by HP to create a bootable USB drive with the BIOS update.
  3. Insert the USB drive into your HP ENVY laptop.
  4. Turn on the laptop and immediately press the Esc key to enter the Startup Menu.
  5. Select Boot Device Options and choose the USB drive.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the BIOS.

Replace the Battery

  1. Purchase a compatible replacement battery from HP or an authorized retailer.
  2. Follow the instructions in your laptop’s service manual to replace the battery.
  3. Install the new battery and check if the issue is resolved.
