My new Notebook has only 512 GB, but I want to upgrade it. What is the max capacity that I can use?

It looks like HP offered PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe SSDs up to 2 TB in the model series.

See chapter 1 of the service manual:

Maintenance and Service Guide HP EliteBook 6 G1i 16 inch Notebook AI PC HP EliteBook 6 G1iR 16 inch ...

Theoretically, there is no limit to the storage capacity of a NVMe SSD as far as how high you can go.

You're only restricted to the drive being single-sided so that fits in the NVMe slot.

So if you wanted to install a 4 TB drive in your notebook for example, that shouldn't be a problem at all.
