Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

Recently my Elitebook 360 has stopped going into sleep mode, both with the laptop screen open, or closed.

It has always been set to go into sleep mode after 5 minutes, whether the mains is plugged in, or not.

I've checked the settings and they are still set to sleep after 5 minutes.

I have also made sure that the latest BIOS firmware is installed, but no difference.

The fan also stays on all the time when plugged in, both with the lid up, or down.

If I unplug the mains at night and leave the lid closed, the fan eventually goes off, but by the morning the battery has drained itself out.

It just doesn't want to go to sleep for some reason?

I can shut the laptop down, and restart it again and the battery will have remained charged. This is the only way I can use the machine now.

Something is stopping the laptop going into standby, and I can't think what it is.

I have fitted a brand new battery and blown out any dust, so that is not the issue.

Not sure what to do next?

Regards

Ian
